KekranMekran Labs is our internal R&D division — a small, focused unit exploring the technology problems that will define the next decade. We work at the intersection of embedded systems, automotive software, and artificial intelligence.

Our Belief

Most technology problems that look unsolved are actually unfunded. The algorithms exist. The talent exists. What is missing is the conviction to start. KekranMekran Labs exists because we believe the best time to work on hard problems is before everyone else realises they are hard.

What We Work On

Automotive Software & Embedded Systems

Modern vehicles are computers on wheels. The software that controls them — how they think, respond, and behave — is today designed and owned almost entirely by a handful of companies in Germany and Japan. We are exploring the tools, systems, and software that could change that. Our work in this domain sits at the boundary of firmware, control systems, and developer tooling.

Artificial Intelligence in Business Software

AI is being added to business software everywhere — but most of it is shallow. We are exploring how AI can be genuinely embedded into the workflows that businesses run on every day, not as a feature, but as the foundation. Our own SaaS products are the testing ground.

Defence Technologies

At KekranMekran Labs, we explore the intersection of software and national security. Our focus is on building robust, reliable systems that can operate in high-stakes, low-tolerance environments — from secure communication infrastructure to operational intelligence tools. We believe the same discipline that goes into production-grade SaaS can be applied to solving hard problems in defence — where uptime, accuracy, and trust are not optional.

Artificial Intelligence

At KekranMekran Labs, we build AI that works in the real world — not demos. Our focus is on practical, vertical AI applications embedded into existing workflows, starting with hospitality and expanding into other operational domains. We are actively exploring agentic systems, conversational interfaces, and AI-native product design — moving beyond bolt-on features toward products where intelligence is the core layer.

How We Work

We are lean by design. No large teams, no bureaucracy, no research that sits in a drawer. Every track we pursue produces something tangible — a prototype, a tool, a proof of concept. We work on long horizons and short feedback loops.

Dedicated research time — Labs work happens in protected, distraction-free time. No client deliverables, no product firefighting.

Build, don't just study — We learn by making things. A working prototype teaches more than a hundred whitepapers.

Long horizon thinking — We work on problems that are 3 to 10 years out. We are not chasing trends. We are placing deliberate bets.

Where We Are

KekranMekran Labs is young. We are one team, a handful of hard problems, and the conviction that starting is the only way to finish. We are based in Pondicherry, India, and we think about problems that matter globally.
